Oyin has taken pure, unrefined, fair-trade shea butter and whipped it with a number of skin-nutritious oils to aid in its penetration and absorption by the parts of you that need it most. The resulting whipped butter is more than 75% pure unrefined shea butter, enriched with jojoba, black seed, avocado, virgin coconut oils, Vitamin E, and more. It is appropriate for use as a hair pomade, a pre-shampoo hair treatment, a skin butter, a facial moisturizer, or wherever you want the benefits of shea! This is a different product than our Whipped Pudding, which is a cream - a blend of oils & butters mixed with aloe vera gel and spring water. Whipped shea is a butter, with no water-soluble ingredients. Currently available in natural/unscented, rich Almond, and earthy and warm BlackCedarFig. Naturally Preserved.
Weather Advisory: Whipped shea butter is weather sensitive: in the summer months, melting can occur en route in extremely hot weather, which can result in apparent loss of product as the whipped butter melts and loses its tiny, frothy, whipped air pockets. if you live in a very hot place, or if your package is likely to sit waiting for you outdoors, please consider purchasing in the wintertime instead. ;o)
The incredibly positive properties of unrefined shea are well-documented - it is said to restore skin's natural elasticity, protect from UV rays, help prevent stretch marks, nourish hair and scalp, and have an anti-aging effect. It's also good for smoothing scars, blemishes, and dark marks; helping soothe diaper rash, and revitalizing damaged or overprocessed hair.
But some folks find pure shea a little stiff, sticky, or difficult to apply. Others do not relish the natural, nutty smell of the unrefined nut butter, but don't want purchase refined shea because of the loss of its most effective nutrients in the refining process.
Well, good news! Oyin's Whipped Shea Butter is more than 75% pure unrefined shea butter, enriched with jojoba, black seed, avocado, virgin coconut oils, Vitamin E, and more. It speeds easily, melts in readily, and is appropriate for use on hair, skin, face, baby... the whole family!
Available unscented for facial use or for those with sensitive skin.

I found this to be oily and not moisturizing. I like the whipped pudding a lot better. It is moisturizing and it smells great.
It is not bad, it is just not me.
I had only planned to buy hair products during the Black Friday sale. I love the emollient properties of shea, but it's hard to use because it doesn't spread well. After reading the well written product description and ingredients, I figured I couldn't lose! I was right! This stuff right here?????!!! LOVE it!! It spreads well and can be used sparinginly. During this arid time of the year, this is the perfect product. It's been over 12hrs since the initial application ( been a long day). My skin is still moisturized!!!! I WILL RE-PURCHASE!
I love the whipped shea butter so much! It's so light and smooth. It fights ash for ever and ever and smoothly coats my ends during twisting. In the winter I use it to seal in moisture on my hands, face and neck.
I love the smooth texture of the shea butter, it goes on smooth and it is just plan nice
I bought this for myself to fight my extreme dry skin issues. This works like a dream and I smell delish! I use it on my son who has sensitive skin, and I recently found the hubby using it after his shower! This is truly a family staple in our house!
So, you know how you can buy shea butter, and it comes in that hard yellow or cream colored block, with that distinctive smell....then you have to kind of dig out a chuck, and let it melt in your hands...into a greasy paste? Yeah...none of that here. First of all, Oyin whips this so lusciously that there is no need to dig into anything! When I got my first jar, I had to wonder if there was even anything in it, because it was so light...and then I felt it. Like air! Even the unscented is truly unscented (I'm not at all a fan of the 'natural shea butter scent'). I also love that it is like 98%shea butter, because other company's shea that I've used have added all kinds of extras to stretch it out. With Oyin, even what little bit they add to the shea is good for you. Can't be mad at that. :)
I slept on this product a long time but from the first time I tried it, it became a staple. The texture is lighter that Vaseline but rich enough that you don't need much. I also enjoy the fact that I can apply this product without the fear of messing up my clothes from being too oil. When I want a more masculine scent I use black cedar fig. I use the Rich almond and the unscented which I add my own oil to indulge in my current whim.
I love using raw shea butter but I also hate how hard it can be to apply but the consistency of this fixes this problem and allows you to easily apply it smoothly on skin or your hair. 2 for one deal because it works great on your hair too if shea works for your hair type.
I just recently placed my first order with Oyin and made sure I had the hair dew in my cart after hearing how much my sister loves it. This stuff is awesome! It's lightweight, smells delicious (not too strong) and will not weigh your hair down. Just a dab goes a long way but I use it everyday. I live in a very humid place so the dew just gives my hair that extra bit of moisture as my very last step of styling or I'll even dab a little on my edges. When my hair is damp I'll put a little on my hair before I two strand twist and then seal with the Oyin sugar...yummy. I am definitely a new fan!
