cuppa joe - invigorating soap

$7.00
Ok, so this product should probably be called "Cuppa Mocha Java Amaretto Surprise," but that's a lot harder to say. So we call it Cuppa Joe after the genuine cold-pressed coffee butter which gives it its emmoilience. It's also enriched with skin-silkening Moroccan red clay and creamy goat milk... Cuppa Joe will have you up and on your way with a smile, enveloped in a warm coffee-cocoa-almond scent that lingers faintly on your skin. The natural exfoliation action of ground vanilla beans finish out the bar, concentrated on one side for more efficient scrubbing.

3.5-4oz rectangular bar, wrapped in a coffee filter. ;o)

I love the packaging but I have to say that I was disappointed with the aroma and the lather. I expected the aroma to be very vanilla with coffee tones but I only smell the sweet vanilla when I hold the bar to my nose and inhale!!! It didn't lather very well for me either. I had to keep rubbing and rubbing but no lather. I figured that since it didn't lather it was very moisturizing but my skin felt pretty tight and dry when I got out of the shower. I do want to say that I live in Corpus Christi and we have hard water here so that could have contributed to the moisturizing factor. Also, I used the soap directly on my skin so I am going to purchase a sponge/loofah and see how it works with that. I'll post another review after I use the loofah/sponge but these are my initial reactions to the soap.

I give this product 5 stars fo its super cute packaging & scent. But as far as the performance...there were no results. I really wanted to believe in this product, but something just don't work for everyone.

I'm much more of a body wash person to be honest, but I was interested in the scent of this soap and decided to go for it. It only has one drawback that I can see (and since it's soap, that's pretty darn good!) and that is that it stains my lighter colored washcloths. The great far out numbers that nitpicky detail though-- this smells great, leaves me silky and the very best part? It's the BEST shaving soap I've ever used. It lathers creamy and lets my razor just glide on my skin. No razor bumps, no ingrown hairs. Shaving perfection. Thanks to the Oyin Handmade team for another great product. I actually like soap now.

This is very nice. Gentle and moisturizing - love the little \scrubbies\" on the side of the soap. I have sensitive skin and I can even use on my face. Would love to get an UBER size bar of this"""

first of all, i was disappointed when the soap didn't smell like coffee. The fragrance is very nice though and reminds me of burnt sugar pomade.\
The soap is just so moisturizing, gently exfoliates and i had to cut in half so that i could stretch its uses..\
    I highly recommend it :)

This bar is the the most asked-about thing in my bathroom (amongst the Frank Juice, Burnt sugar, and all the other artistic and alchemistic trappings to be found around my home studio)- and the one my guests most rave about after they give it a sniff. Then I describe it to them and they fall in loooooove :) \

I save my bar for a rare treat like bubblebaths and candles. Not that I have such things as bubblebaths and candles of course, being a total Guy and everything... lol\
(I use the Joe bar instead;)

You have not LIVED until you exfoliate with ground vanilla beans and inhale the sweet scent of almonds and cocoa. I have to admit that I wanted a soap that smelled of coffee, something to wake me up early in the morning. This definitely does NOT smell like coffee. But it does smell so good that I have licked it. And kept a bar next to me on my desk just to sniff every so often. And it is in fact very invigorating. So despite the scent not being what I expected, the soap itself is more than I could have ever wanted.

I really enjoyed this soap. It was very gentle and mild with good creamy lather. The fragrance was very soft and more like ammaretto than coffee or cocoa. I must add that scrubbing myself down with ground vanilla beans was a pleasingly decadent experience.
